Bio: Ms. Mayra E. Santiago is the Interim Director and Fiscal Officer of the Office of Access and Academic Enrichment (OAAE) and Fiscal Officer for the Office of Academic Affairs’ Educational Opportunities Program (EOP). She earned her Bachelors of Business Administration from Pace University and her Master’s in Public Administration from the State University of New York’s Rockefeller College.   As Interim Director, she assists with the administration of the OAAE and provides academic support services to its various on campus and satellite programs that serve low-income, first-generation, and/or disabled students as well as economically-disadvantaged and historically-underrepresented students.  She has broad financial experience in the private and public sectors. She has years of experience helping underrepresented individuals successfully plan, develop and start businesses.

Within OAAE, she oversees the daily operations of the Student Support Services Program (SSS) known on campus as Project Excel, the Collegiate Science Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) and the Science Technology Entry Program (STEP).  In addition, she oversees the federal Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Program (LSAMP) and the collaboration of services with the Albany City School District and their Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Program.  She also oversees a committed staff of Coordinators, Administrative Staff, Support Staff and Student Staff.
