 Across the state, there are many organizations with available funding and technical support to help aid your sustainability initiatives. Performance Based Incentives
NYSERDA offers incentives on selected high efficiency commercial food service equipment that meet the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) Tiers. Incentives range from $30 to $1000, depending on the model. Click here for a listing of high efficiency commercial kitchen equipment that are currently eligible. Performance-Based incentives are provided to encourage applicants to implement larger-scale projects that increase energy efficiency and produce verifiable annual energy savings. These incentives are available on a pro-rated basis related to the annual kwh or MMBtu savings generated. Applicants can receive between $30,000 and $2,000,000 for projects in a variety of categories.

Pre-Qualified Incentives
NYSERDA offers incentives on selected high efficiency commercial food service equipment that meet the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) Tiers. Incentives range from $30 to $1000, depending on the model. Click here for a listing of high efficiency commercial kitchen equipment that are currently eligible. Pre-Qualified incentives are provided to encourage applicants to purchase and install more energy-efficient equipment for small-sized energy projects and equipment replacement projects. These incentives are available on a dollar per unit basis for specified energy efficiency measures. Applicants can receive up to $30,000 in Pre-Qualified electric incentives, and $30,000 in Pre-Qualified Natural Gas incentives per facility per calendar year.

FlexTech Program
Commercial Kitchens are encouraged to participate in FlexTech to receive cost shared engineering assessments for your building and commercial kitchen operations. FlexTech can provide full energy efficiency assessments and recommendations for any type of commercial building.NYSERA's FlexTech Program seeks customers interested in receiving cost-shared analysis of energy efficiency technical evaluations, process improvement analysis, energy master plans, retrocommissioning, and development of peak-load curtailment plans (PLCPs) of their existing facilities as well as combined heat & power (CHP) feasibility studies for implementation within existing facilities.

New Construction Program
$90,981,268 is available through this program to conduct technical assessments of energy efficiency improvements in building designs and to offset a portion of the incremental capital costs to purchase and install energy-efficient equipment in these buildings to reduce energy consumption. Additional incentives and services are offered for buildings that achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) or New York Collaborative for High Performance Schools (NY-CHPS) certification.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Design for the Environment program helps consumers, businesses, and institutional buyers identify cleaning and other products that perform well and are safer for human health and the environment.

 

Commercial Food Service Equipment Incentive Finder
This tool provides commercial food service (CFS) equipment manufacturers, dealers, distributors, and purchasers with information about rebates for ENERGY STAR qualified CFS equipment available from utilities and other energy-efficiency program sponsors.
