Case Studies of Middle School Science
The research project profiled a sample of seven New York middle schools whose students have performed consistently well for at least three years compared to students in similar middle schools. In these schools, students scored better than students in similar schools on New York State's Intermediate-Level (Grade 8) Science Examination. The seven schools profiled are:
- Bolivar-Richburg Central SD, Bolivar-Richburg MS/HS
- Geneseo Central SD, Geneseo MS/HS
- Greene Central SD, Greene MS
- Jamestown City SD, Jefferson MS
- Johnson City Central SD, Johnson City MS
- South Glens Falls Central SD, Oliver W. Winch MS
- Wayne Central SD, Thomas C. Armstrong MS
