Keynote: "Sustainable Organizations, Sustainable Housing"
CEO, Achieve Australia
Anne Bryce is chief executive officer of Achieve Australia
, a non-government organization that supports over 500 people with a disability in the Sydney region. She has over 28 years' experience in the disability sector, with more than 20 years operational management and senior leadership experience. Anne's previous roles have included the management of accommodation, employment, community living and community brokerage services and she has worked in both government and non-government agencies.
Anne was chief executive officer of Hornsby Challenge from 2003 to 2009, before being appointed the role of chief executive officer for Achieve Australia when Hornsby Challenge successfully merged with another organization in 2009. Since then, Anne has led her organization on a journey of radical transformation. She has moved Achieve Australia from a charity paradigm with a weak balance sheet and limited scope for expansion, to a position of financial strength, poised for growth and opportunity in the fast-changing landscape of Australia's disability sector. Anne is a pivotal player in driving important structural and strategic changes for her organization and across the disability sector through her industry representation. She is an elected member of the National Board of National Disability Services (Australia's peak body for non-government organizations) and a member of the NDS New South Wales State Committee. Anne has contributed to the Accommodation Models Reference Group to the NSW Department of Ageing Disability and Home Care for two years and is chair of the NSW Accommodation Sub-Committee and a NSW representative on the NDS National Accommodation Committee.
