Institute of Nonprofit Leadership and Community Development

In 2012, the University at Albany launched the Emerging Issues in the Nonprofit Sector series, led by a unique partnership of three UAlbany schools: Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy, the School of Social Welfare, and the School of Public Health. The steering committee has since expanded to include the School of Business and the Albany Law School. Emerging Issues programs to date have involved over 600 community members representing more than 200 nonprofit organizations. The steering committee received a President’s Award for Exemplary Community Engagement in 2015.

On July 1, 2016, UAlbany will launch the development of its new Institute of Nonprofit Leadership and Community Development. Please join us as we begin to plan the very important work of this new community-university endeavor, Friday September 23rd at the main (uptown) UAlbany campus. The event is free.
