The Secretary of the Army, an international coordinator for nuclear threat reduction programs and a campaign finance expert for a multinational mass media corporation are among the internationally recognized scholars and public policy leaders honored by the University’s Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy on May 17.

The University at Albany’s legislative program serves as a major pipeline for students wishing to gain practical internship experience in the New York State Assembly and Senate. This spring, 114 UAlbany students are serving as session interns in the NYS Assembly. Another 19 are assigned to the NYS Senate.

Erika G. Martin, assistant professor of public administration and policy at Rockefeller College and fellow at the Rockefeller Institute of Government, discusses proposed changes in HIV-Testing guidelines in an article in the March 7 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine.
