Sara Brenner's journey through the School of Public Health's preventive medicine residency program recently took her to Washington, D.C., where she met President Barack Obama, then a senator, as well as fellow Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin.

As head of CNSE's nanoscience constellation, Bakhru conducts research on nanomaterials and ion beam physics. He's also teaching graduate students this semester. Bakhru is one of 500 employees who will be celebrated at the Employee Recognition reception on March 31.
