        Large wind farms in certain areas of the United States appear to affect local land surface temperature, according to a paper published April 29 in <em>Nature Climate Change</em>. The study, led by UAlbany Associate Professor Liming Zhou, provides critical insight about the possible impacts of wind farms on regional climate.

        The University at Albany student-run Five Quad Volunteer Ambulance Service will transfer two Egyptian mummies that are each nearly 2,000 years old, from their home at the Albany Institute of History &amp; Art to Albany Medical Center on March 31 to undergo X-rays and CAT scans. The mummies will be featured in an Institute exhibition.
