Announcement
Dear UAlbany Community:
I am writing to seek your help in an effort
by our University at Albany community to assist
victims of the South Asian tsunami.
As you know, many � both here on campus and
across the globe � have already contributed
support for the relief effort. The needs, however,
are enormous and as a campus, we would like
to provide additional support to help victims
rebuild their lives and communities.
Funds raised through this special drive will
be directed to the following charitable organizations:
- American Red Cross
- Save the Children
These organizations have been selected based
on their proven track record for dealing with
this region and this type of disaster. All gifts
to these organizations will be designated for
quake-tsunami international relief efforts,
which will ensure that your donation will be
used for the victims of the tsunami disaster.
There are several ways to make a contribution
from now until February 11, 2005.
- You may send your contribution to:
University Auxiliary Services (make
checks payable to UAS)
UAB 232
University at Albany
- Or, you may make a contribution in the Campus
Center Food Court retail locations.
- There will also be a UAlbany Tsunami Relief
station at the Winter Carnival in the dining
halls.
Please join in this UAlbany community effort
to help the millions in South Asia who are suffering
as a result of the tsunami. Your contributions
will make a difference in their lives.
