Professor George Aaron Broadwell, a linguistic anthropologist, focuses his research on Native American languages of the U.S., Mexico, and Guatemala. His interests include linguistic minorities and endangered languages. Broadwell's recent work in syntactic theory has focused on complex predication, binding theory, lexical semantics, and syntactic applications of optimality theory.
