Biography:
Paulette McCormick, professor of biomedical sciences and director of the Gen*NY*Sis Center for Excellence in Cancer Genomics and the Center for Functional Genomics at UAlbany's East Campus, is an expert on cancer, metastases, stem cells, developmental genetics, and mutant mouse research. McCormick is also director of cancer genetics at Stratton Veterans Administration Medical Center in Albany and co-director of one of the nation's four Mutant Mouse Resource Centers. She co-founded and directs the University's Center for Functional Genomics and helped establish the University's program in forensic molecular biology. McCormick is currently a member of the NIH-NCI Pathology B Study Section and her research has been continuously funded by the NIH.
