Biography:

The assistant coordinator of field education at the School of Social Welfare, David Pettie is interested in psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery. He also studies the impact of psychiatric disabilities on identity and roles, issues of aging and loss, clinical supervision, innovations in treatment and teaching methods. His publications include Illness as Evolution: The Search for Identity and Meaning in the Recovery Process (1999).
