Biography:
Born in Germany and raised in Italy, Professor R. Michael Range first came to the U.S. on a Fulbright Exchange Fellowship. His academic interests include calculus curriculum, including the use of MAPLE in instruction. He has published many research articles on multidimensional complex analysis. In 2004, Range received the distinguished Lester R. Ford award, presented by the Mathematical Society of America for articles of expository excellence. A frequent visitor abroad, Range is fluent in five languages.
