Biography:
Born and raised in Italy, Associate Professor Olimpia Pelosi's research interests include Renaissance women poets, Baroque theatre, Baroque women mystics, and comparative literature. She received an advanced degree in modern Italian literature and a degree in foreign modern languages and literatures (French and Spanish) from the University of Salerno, Italy. She earned her doctorate in romance languages and literatures at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
