Biography:
Claudia Ricci, a former reporter for The Wall Street Journal and a prize-winning reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times, teaches English, creative writing and journalism through UAlbany's Educational Opportunities Program. In 2002, Ricci published her first novel, Dreaming Maples, which was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her short fiction has been published in numerous literary magazines nationwide. She edits a community writing space called "MyStoryLives" and founded "The Public Radio Health Show" on WAMC. She is a frequent radio guest discussing blogs as "citizen journalism."
