Biography:
Maritza Martinez is the assistant dean of the Educational Opportunity Program in the Office of Academic Support Services at UAlbany. She has more than 20 years working with at-risk populations and helping students achieve success in a higher education setting. Martinez has performed community organization and advocacy and has extensive experience working with residents from high-risk communities. Martinez is of Latina descent and is bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
