Liliana Pulaha moved to the U.S. from Albania with her husband and two children four years ago. Today, she works on the custodial staff of Dutch Quad residence hall at the University at Albany.

Hoff Gives Testimony on Primary Care Reform
Timothy J. Hoff, associate professor of Health Policy and Management in the School of Public Health, gave testimony in front of the New York State Assembly Committee on Health on Oct. 29 at the Primary Care Reform in NYS hearing.

Distinguished Professor Judith Langer, Department of Educational Theory and Practice, recently delivered an invited lecture on Imaginative Scientists at Lund University in Lundagård, Sweden.

Cohen Edits Shared Stages
Sarah Blacher Cohen, professor emerita of English at UAlbany, recently edited the book Shared Stages: Ten American Dramas of Blacks and Jews, published in October.

Do You Have What It Takes?
BMKT 432-Integrated Marketing Communications students at the University at Albany hosted representatives from the FBI on Nov. 8 in the Campus Center Ballroom to let their peers know they were wanted by the Bureau. 

Werner Serves as U.S. Principal Investigator for Grant to Preserve Archaeological Site in Serbia
Dr. Michael R. Werner, a professor of classics and Mediterranean archaeology at UAlbany, is the U.S. principal investigator for a grant awarded by the U.S. Department of State from the Ambassador's Fund for Cultural Preservation to help preserve the Roman amphitheater at the Viminacium archaeological site in eastern Serbia.

OASIS Director Recognized
Meg McCarthy, director of the New York State Capital Region OASIS, which is housed on the UAlbany campus, was recognized at a national conference in October in St. Louis. McCarthy was given a letter of recognition for her dedication to improving the lives of mature adults.
