American Heart Association Highlights UAlbany Biologist Chen
The American Heart Association recently profiled Haijun Chen of the Department of Biological Sciences for his research on a class of molecules that play a key role in controlling the rate of a human�s heartbeat.

There is still time to register for the Relay For Life, the April 5-6 all night student-organized walkathon and fund-raising blitz held to benefit the American Cancer Society. This year's goal is $105,000.

University at Albany head coach Trina Patterson has been named the 2008 America East Conference Coach of the Year, as announced by the league office at the annual postseason tournament banquet held on Thursday, March 13.

Robert Bangert-Drowns has been named acting dean of the University at Albany's School of Education. Virginia Goatley has been named vice dean in the School of Education.
