Wanted: Visionaries

To nominate yourself or a colleague, write a sentence or two explaining why this person would be a great member of the Strategic Planning Committee.

ALBANY, N.Y. (July 25, 2016) -- Love the University and want to contribute to its future direction? Are you a big-picture thinker with a collaborative spirit? Or perhaps you are simply up for a new challenge.

Consider serving on the Strategic Planning Steering Committee. The committee, comprised of about a dozen faculty and staff members from across the campus community, is the central coordinating group for developing the University’s strategic plan.

The steering committee will meet in late August to start generating ideas for the University’s strategic goals, and will continue meeting throughout the academic year.

The entire campus community will have opportunities to contribute ideas as well. During the fall semester there will be University-wide meetings to seek input, and working groups will be formed to develop plans and methods of implementation.

Provost James Stellar and Chief of Staff Leanne Wirkkula will co-chair the steering committee, and members will be appointed by President Jones.

Nominations for the Strategic Planning Steering Committee are due by noon on Friday, July 29. To nominate yourself or a colleague, write a sentence to two explaining why this person would be a great member of the committee. Email nominations to [email protected].
