Biography:
Associate Professor Anthony DeBlasi is a specialist in Chinese history and has traveled extensively in China. He graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University with a bachelor's degree in Chinese Language. He received his doctorate from Harvard University in East Asian Languages and Civilizations. DeBlasi, who is the chairman of the Department of East Asian Studies, was a Fulbright Research Scholar in China in 2005. The author of Reform in the Balance: The Defense of Literary Culture in Mid-Tang China (SUNY Press), DeBlasi teaches a wide range of courses on Chinese history and culture.
