SUNY Chancellor Recognizes UAlbany Faculty and Staff Excellence

ALBANY, N.Y. (July 3, 2012) -- Thirteen University at Albany faculty and staff are among the recipients of the 2011-2012 Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence. Presented annually to SUNY faculty and staff, the Chancellor’s Awards encompass six categories: faculty service, librarianship, professional service, scholarship and creative activities, teaching, and classified service.

“These awards underscore SUNY’s appreciation of faculty and staff who serve our campuses and students with absolute excellence,” said SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher. “Each of this year’s 289 honorees demonstrate extraordinary dedication and service and are highly deserving of this distinction.”

The honor provides system-wide recognition for consistently superior professional achievement and encourages the ongoing pursuit of excellence. Through these awards, SUNY publicly proclaims its pride in the accomplishments and personal dedication of its instructional faculty, librarians, and staff across its 64 campuses and system administration.
