Fort Plain Students Tour Mathes Collection

The University Libraries' M.E. Grenander Department of Special Collections and Archives hosts teachers and students from Fort Plains High School, Fort Plain, N.Y. Students hear a lecture from David Mitchell, curator of the Mathes Collection. Mary Van Patten, librarian, and Louise Clute, English teacher, brought their class to tour the Miriam Snow Mathes Historical Children's Literature Collection, which includes more than 13,000 children's books and periodicals published in the 19th century and up to 1960.
