Biography:
Kevin Kinser studies non-traditional and alternative higher education, particularly the organization and administration of for-profit and virtual universities. He is the co-editor of Higher Education in the United States: An Encyclopedia (ABC-CLIO, 2002), a comprehensive two-volume overview of American postsecondary education since World War II, and currently serves as the book review editor for the Review of Higher Education. Kinser's latest work on for-profit higher education is From Main Street To Wall Street: The Transformation of For-Profit Higher Education (Jossy-Bass, 2006). He received his master's and doctorate from Columbia University's Teachers College.
