Due to the inclement weather conditions throughout the region, all classes on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 have been cancelled. Unless otherwise notified, classes will resume as normal on Thursday, February 6, 2014.
The University encourages its students, faculty and staff to exercise their best judgment in determining whether it is safe to travel to campus. If possible, avoid unnecessary travel and take all precautions if travel is necessary.
Please note that only the Governor of New York State can close state offices, agencies and campuses. When offices are open, employees are expected to report to work. During emergencies, non-essential employees may request supervisory approval to charge their accruals when offices are open. Essential employees are to report in accordance with their schedule.
The University's Emergency Management Team will continue to monitor the latest forecasts, provide notifications and update information on the UAlbany Alert website atwww.albany.edu/emergency, the University's Emergency Information Line at (518) 442-7669, and the usual external media stations, as well as the University's Facebook and Twitter pages.
