In order to gain access to the enrollment functions, you must enter your Advisor Verification Number (AVN). First, you must go to your academic advisor in order to obtain your AVN. Then, click "Enter My AVN" on the MyUAlbany main page and follow the instructions provided.How can I find out when I am able to enroll for classes?

An enrollment section is the component of a course (e.g. lecture, lab, discussion, seminar) students must use to register for the class. Enrollment sections are indicated by a checked box button.
How do I enroll for a class with a lecture & lab or lecture & discussion?
If you are enrolling for classes with related components (e.g. lecture and lab, lecture and discussion, etc.), the lab or discussion is the enrollment section. Enter the class number for the enrollment section (lab or discussion) first and then select the related component (lecture) when prompted to do so (by using the Lookup button) before hitting submit. You are only permitted to enter class numbers for enrollment sections.

In most cases, when you enter a class number for a class requiring permission, you will automatically be prompted to enter your permission number. In some cases, (Ex: closed courses), you will need to click on the subject/catalog # of the designated class on the "Add Classes" page in order to enter your permission number. This will bring you to the "Class Enrollment Options" page. Enter your permission number in the designated field, then click OK. Now you must submit your add request. Make sure success appears in the add status column after you submit.
How can I search for classes on the web before I enroll?
Log on to http://www.albany.edu/schedule_of_classes/ or click "Search Class Schedules" on the MyUAlbany main page. Carefully review the comments (special permissions required, etc.) and note the seats available. Then, record class numbers for all of the classes for which you would like to enroll. Be sure to check the seat availability again before attempting to enroll. Select alternate class numbers in case some of your first choices are closed. Knowing your class numbers in advance means you will not waste time looking them up while you are enrolling.
How do I search for a General Education class?
Go to the website http://www.albany.edu/schedule_of_classes/ or if you are logged into MyUAlbany select the Search Class Schedules link. Select the appropriate semester. Next to the General Education Course field, select the drop down menu and select the General Education requirement you are interested in fulfilling.How do I search for classes while I am enrolling?
You are strongly encouraged to search for your classes in advance of your enrollment appointment at http://www.albany.edu/schedule_of_classes/ as searching for classes from within the enrollment module has a slower response time. To conduct a class search during enrollment, click the Lookup buttonlocated next to the class number box on the "Add Classes" page. You must select at least 2 criteria for the Basic Class Search (subject, course component and course career are suggested).
How do I view my schedule when I am done enrolling?
On the main MyUAlbany page, under the "Enrollment Services" section, click on "My Class Schedule" to view a listing of your classes or click on "My Weekly Schedule" to view your schedule in a grid format by days of the week. You may also view your schedule after you are done enrolling in classes on the "Add Classes" page by clicking on "View My Schedule" located at the bottom of the page.last revised 6/19/06
