My paintings are built out of bits of painted paper and armies
of push pins. This process stems from my frustration with the
imposed boundaries of conventional painting. I quickly became
enthusiastic and obsessed by this new means of artistic exploration.
I create landscapes from memory in which fleeting moments are
imbedded into the painted surface through methodical means.
Unexpected use of color, texture, and pattern
reinforces my interest in expanding the definition of what constitutes
a painted surface and how it can be constructed.
