1997 INVITATIONAL An invitational
exhibition, drawn from this year's Mohawk-Hudson Regional Exhibition will
follow at the Leslie Urbach Gallery, Albany Center Galleries after the
close of the exhibition.
ELIGIBILITY The exhibition is open to artists residing
within a 100 mile radius of the Capital Region area.
JUROR DAN CAMERON, Senior Curator, The New Museum
of Contemporary Art, New York City.
MEDIA All media. Video artists must supply own
equipment if selected for the exhibition. Installation artists should
enter detailed proposals and drawings and bear all installation costs.
PROCEDURE Each artist may submit up to five (5) 35
mm slides of five (5) recent works (1995-97). Sculptors may submit
two views of an entry. Slides must represent work available for this
exhibition. Works exhibited in previous Mohawk-Hudson Regionals are
not eligible.
All 35 mm slides accompanying the entry/notification form must be labeled
properly (on each slide: artist's name, title of work, date, medium, size,
top of work) and be contained in a clear plastic slide sheet. Each
slide must also be numbered to correspond with a checklist of this same
information submitted on a separate sheet of paper. Please keep a
record of this information; notification of acceptance will be by slide
number. Slides may be picked up at the University Art Museum during
the opening reception of the exhibition on Thursday, June 19. For
earlier return, enclose a SASE.
ENTRY FEE A non-refundable fee of $15.00 will be charged
to assist with exhibition and publication costs. Please make checks
