The 1997 Artists of the Mohawk Hudson Region Juried Exhibition will
be held June 17 through July 31 at the University Art Museum, University
at Albany, State University of New York.
This annual exhibition is sponsored jointly by the University Art Museum,
University at Albany, the Albany Institute of History & Art and the
Schenectady Museum and Planetarium.
NEW YORK STATE BIENNIAL Artists
selected to exhibit in the Mohawk Hudson Regional will be considered for
the 1998 New York State Biennial, New York State Museum, February 6 - April
26, 1998. The curator is LINDA WEINTRAUB, a noted art historian,
lecturer, and museum consultant. Her latest publication is Art
on the Edge and Over: Searching For Art’s Meaning in Contemporary Society
(Art Insights Inc., 1996). Weintraub is also curator of Is It
Art?, an exhibition touring nationally with Exhibitions Management.
Please Note: Slides submitted by artists selected for exhibit will
be forwarded to the New York State Museum for the Biennial selection process.
All other slides will be returned by the SASE method or artist pick up
