How to prepare for our first meeting

Planning Meeting In order to effectively meet your marketing needs, you should determine several factors in advance. Consider the
following questions prior to our first meeting:
1. Objective
- What do you want to accomplish?
- Who is the audience? What motivates them? What are some ways that you have successfully communicated with them
in the past? What are some pieces that you've seen that you admire? Bring samples to the meeting.
- What is the "shelf life" of this new project?
2. Parameters and design
- What type of print piece(s) are you looking to use?
- Size? Quantity? Colors? Other supporting materials?
- Is more research
needed?
- Are there any opportunities to communicate your design and messages through a website or email?
3. Budget, deadline, and approval
- When do you need to have this item in hand?
- Point person from your unit; approvals needed?
- Any opportunities on your
end for cost sharing?
- Rough idea of what you want (or have) to spend
