Touchdown tailgate!

Come to Dutch Lot at 11 a.m. and get ready to cheer on our Great Danes as they take on the St. Francis Red Flash in football at 1 p.m. on University Field.

Bring your grill and cooler, decorate your car in purple & gold, enjoy music by Ethan the Dog and check out the Family Fun Zone.

Never been tailgating or want some tips for tailgating success. Here are a few tips to make sure your “gate” is great:

• Make your menu simple and prepare in advance so you don’t forget anything.

• Eat early so you can finish in time to get over to University Field for the 1 p.m. kickoff.

• Tailgate pros recommend extra trash bags; water and handiwipes for quick cleanups.

• Raingear, just in case…

• First aid kit

• Extra ice

Want to learn more or find some recipes inspired by the tailgating pros? Go to www.tailgating.com and check out the best food to serve off the back of your car—barbecue to dessert!
