We were advised today that a female University at Albany student was the victim of a sexual assault incident by an unknown assailant. This occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 31st on the corner of Partridge Street and Washington Avenue in Albany. The assailant is reported to be a black male of dark complexion, approximately 26 �29 years of age, 5�9��, 170 lbs., wearing dark clothing. The assailant used strong arm tactics but did not display a weapon. The victim was not raped but sustained minor physical injury. The Albany Police Department is investigating.
Please be vigilant about your personal safety, whether on or off campus. The following precautions are a reminder of some of the things you can do to be proactive concerning your safety:

Avoid isolated areas and dark places - always walk in well-lit areas |
