Message from Phyllis Hall to the University at Albany Community

Dear University at Albany friends,

I wish to express my deep gratitude for the love and support so many people have shown me, and for the tributes and personal stories you have shared in remembering Kermit. I know how much it would mean to him and it has been a comfort to me.

Some of you have asked how you might honor Kermit's memory. As everyone knows, students were his central focus, and one example was the Inaugural Scholarship Fund that he started. He wanted to be sure that qualified undergraduates have the financial resources to attend UAlbany. A tribute to him would be to help the fund continue to grow. Contributions may be made to The University at Albany Foundation for the Inaugural Scholarship Fund; they may be sent to the Foundation office at UAB 201, 1400 Washington Ave., Albany, NY, 12222, or made online at Inaugural Scholarship Fund.

Some have also asked how to get cards to me and Kermit's family, and the best way to do that is to send them to me at: University at Albany, University Hall, Room 302, Albany, NY, 12222. I would also be delighted to receive your emails at: [email protected]. Or you can share your remembrances through the University's website. I have been very touched by the many personal recollections of Kermit that have been posted there.

I am deeply appreciative for all your support.

Sincerely,

Phyllis Hall
