Senators Clinton and Schumer Support Genebank Program

The University at Albany deeply appreciates the strong support of Senators Clinton and Schumer, and their recognition of the significance of the State University of New York's genebank contract between UAlbany and the Department of Veterans' Affairs (VA). We also want to thank Senator Joseph Bruno for his steadfast support of this initiative and for providing funding for the establishment of the Gen*NY*Sis Center for Excellence in Cancer Genomics, the home of the genebank project. The project is of immense medical importance to our veterans, our nation, and the world, and will establish UAlbany as having the most comprehensive gene bank. We are hopeful work on this project will begin immediately.
