RESEARCH

We engage in research focused on how the unique characteristics of computing (and other non-print) media affect and can be used to enhance the learning process. We also develop and support the development of hypermedia for teaching and learning .

The Learning Technologies Laboratory supports reseach in the general area of the effects of electronic media on learning. Our most recent efforts have been in the areas of multimedia and literature teaching and learning, learning from video in hypermedia, and social learning from broadcast television.

the Technology and Literacy Group of the National Research Center on English Learning and Achievement
