Bio
Jean-François Brière was educated in France. After having received an MA in History from the University of Caen, he served as a high school teacher in Dakar, Senegal, for two years (French National Service). He later obtained a PhD in History from York University ( Toronto). He has since taught in the undergraduate and graduate programs in French Studies at the University at Albany.
