Glyne Griffith is jointly appointed in the Department of English and the Department of Latin American, Caribbean, and U.S. Latino Studies. He taught previously at the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus, Barbados) and at Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. His research focuses on anglophone Caribbean literature in the context of the region's history of colonialism and empire, and on the literary history of the anglophone Caribbean
His scholarly publications include Deconstruction, Imperialism, and the West Indian Novel (1996) and the editions, Caribbean Cultural Identities (2001) and Color, Hair, and Bone: Race in the 21st Century (2008), co-edited with Linden Lewis
