Oral Performance 1

Introducing myself in Korean (Tue., Sep. 27th)   

 

You will be given 3 minutes to introduce yourself in Korea. Your speech may include: greetings, your name, nationality, your age, accademic year, and what you like or dislike, etc.

Your speech must meet the following requirements:
1. The speech should be at least 7 sentences long including greetings.
2. There should be at least one sentence with __
3. There should be at least one sentence with __
4. There should be at least one sentence with __ and/ or

Your performance will be evaluated by the following 4 categories: context, fluency, accuracy, and written script. Depending on your performance, the following points will be given.

Context
1. The presentation includes all 4 requirements.      10 pts                                 
2. The performer missed one requirement.                 8 pts                               
3. The performer missed more than one requirement.    5 pts                  

Fluency (class level fluency)
1. The speaker's pronunciation is clear to understand. 10 pts                             
2. The speaker's pronunciation is somewhat clear to understand.  8 pts             
3. The speaker's pronunciation is hard to understand.         5 pts

Accuracy
1. The speaker's usage of grammar is accurate. 10 pts              
2. There are minor errers in the speech.            8 pts                   
3. There are too many errers in the speech.  5 pts                            

Written Script
1. The writing is neat & clean, and there are no or few errors.     20 pts                
2. The writing is somewhat neat & clean, and there are no or few spelling errors.          15 pts
3. The writing is messy or there are too many spelling errors.                            10 pts

Please submit your final written script right before your performance. Accuracy and NEATNESS is very important for this written version.

* Reading your script during the performance is NOT allowed so memorize your lines!
