Student Success Stories
Students of the Department of Judaic Studies come from a diverse community bringing ideas and talents from their different disciplines. They range from having a great amount of knowledge regarding Judaism and its practice to almost none. Outside of the Judaic Studies Department, the students can be found working around campus, creating art at the Boor Sculpture Studio, perforating at in the various theaters in the Performing Arts Center, or even around the community volunteering.
In order to take in all that the University at Albany has to offer, many students of the Judaic Studies Department also are pursuing a second major. Some of these can include Business, any of the Sciences or the various Arts that the University has to offer.
After Students have their undergraduate degree from the University, many of them pursue degrees unrelated to the Department. However many do go on to careers in Social Welfare, Judaic Studies or even move on to Rabbinic or Cantorial schools. Regardless of where our students end up, they inform us that the individualized attention that our Department has provided them has helped prepare them for their futures.
