I began my career here at the University of Albany with no real intent to minor in Judaic Studies. Coming into University I had been involved in many different aspects of Jewish study during high school, but felt that I didn't want to do this for my life. After taking my first Judaic studies class with Rachel Harris, my mind was quickly changed. It became clear that this was a major focus of my life and thus should get its equal study.
Currently I am perusing a major in Technical Theater and a minor in Judaic Studies. While I have no clue at this point which of the two will become my career, I know for certain that they both will be major influences in my life. Who knows, if there is ever a resurgence of Yiddish theater, I will be taken care of.
In the next few years I will be spending at the University I plan to encompass both of these aspects into my learning. While both departments are small they are both extremely helpful with combining such different majors and the relationships that have blossom in such small departments I feel will help me greatly in where ever my life leads.
