Society Of Professional Journalists
The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) has a Capital District campus that welcomes members from UAlbany, the College of St. Rose and Hudson Valley Community College. SPJ works with students and student media groups on local campuses, providing them with networking opportunities, a professional outlet for ideas, connections to other students and faculty, and regular guest speakers and events.
Formed and run by students, the local SPJ chapter, you can get more information by contacting Faculty Advisor Rosemary Armao at mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org
Professors Barbara Lombardo and Thomas Palmer gather with UAlbany Journalism Program students for a Society of Professional Journalists smartphone workshop on March 24, 2015. To illustrate the range of journalists' accessories, Palmer holds up the Bluetooth remote control as he fires the iPhone's shutter. Palmer mounted the iPhone to a special adapter on a Bogen 3046 tripod.
