The Center for Jewish Studies is proud to announce the recipients for Competitive Research Grants for UAlbany Faculty and Students:
Professor Henryk Baran (Russian): "Towards the History of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion: The French Connection"

Grants for faculty have been provided for by The Horace W. Goldsmith Foundation and The University at Albany Foundation.
The grant awarded to the successful graduate student is through the generosity of Dr. Calvin Zippin, alumnus of the Class of '47 and of the Kappa Beta Fraternity, and his wife, Patricia, who have established the Calvin and Patricia Zippin Endowment Scholarship in memory of his parents Samuel and Jennie Zippin, to help outstanding students of Jewish Studies pursue their educational goals.
The grant awarded to the successful undergraduate student is through the generosity of University at Albany Foundation Director and UAlbany alumnus, Nolan Altman ’77, who established the Morris Altman Research Fund in loving memory of his father. The fund provides awards for students who present original research on issues and topics related to Jewish Studies.
