The Academic Council of the Center for Jewish
Studies is comprised of scholars and researchers throughout the region
and New York State who are devoted to Jewish studies. The network of contacts
among different college and university campuses provides crucial public
support and guidance for the Center. The council is exploring ways for
the Center to establish new distance learning projects, coordinate regional
and statewide tours of distinguished lecturers, and facilitate regional
conferences.
