Student Assistant, HelpDesk Services

What You Need  
  • Ability to work well as a member of a team
  • Ability to learn and apply what you learn to help others
  • Ability to understand a customer’s needs and expectations
  • Excellent customer service skills and are service oriented
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively over the telephone or by email
  • Experience using UAlbany IT services such as MyUAlbany, UNIX services (email, file storage, personal web page), wireless network, and library resources
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • General knowledge of web browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari) and related plug-ins
  • General knowledge of Windows and/or Macintosh operating systems.
