Please join ITS in welcoming Dr. Simeon Ananou, our new Vice President for Information Technology Services and Chief Information Officer, to the campus. A seasoned IT executive, Dr. Ananou joins us from his previous post as the CIO at Salisbury University, Maryland. Dr. Ananou, who will reside in the new IT Building, looks forward to meeting the UAlbany community. Have you downloaded the latest UAlbany App? A collaboration between the Office of Communications & Marketing and ITS, the new version features a variety of major upgrades, including a complete redesign, GPA calculator, and "MyUAlbany" integration. It is available for free download on Apple iOS and Android platforms.

Introducing Office 365 Groups
ITS is now offering Office 365 Groups, a new service that brings people, conversations and content together to provide an integrated environment for any team. Groups offer email distribution, shared calendars, shared OneDrive for Business and OneNote Notebook spaces, and more. Learn more about this service.

Windows 10 and El Capitan
ITS, along with campus Technology Coordinators, is evaluating Windows 10 and OSX El Capitan to assess their compatibility with the University's privacy, security and enterprise management requirements. Until we have assurances that our requirements are met, these cannot be considered supported operating systems for University-owned equipment.
