What is BLS?

Blackboard Learning System (BLS) is an online course management system software package that allows UAlbany faculty to augment face to face & blended courses with online content, or to facilitate entirely online courses.

Some of BLS' features include individual authentication, grade posting, discussion boards, course e-mail, online assessment, assignment upload for students, interactive chat, and course content modules for lecture notes and slides. BLS requires minimal technical expertise on the part of the course developer, and on the part of the student.
