Summary: On May 12 2009 Microsoft released the latest in its monthly cycle of security bulletins. Included in this update is only one bulletin (MS09-017), which addresses a critical vulnerability in PowerPoint that was originally detailed in ALARM alert 040309-01.
Recommended Actions: PowerPoint users (Windows and Mac) and System Administrators are encouraged to read the security bulletin and (if appropriate) install the necessary security update as soon as possible.
