Router Upgrade - Sunday, January 25, 2004, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
On Sunday, the 25th of January, the Cisco 6513 core router will be unavailable due to an upgrade in operating system. As you may recall, we had originally had this effort scheduled for December 28th, 2003. However, due to a problem with the code, we were unable to successfully complete the upgrade. The purpose for this upgrade is to move from to a more modern, unified operating system. The benefits are increased throughput and the ability to enable a much faster vpn concentrator and to implement intrusion detection.
During this time, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM Sunday, the network will be unavailable for use.
