Summary: On September 27 Microsoft released service packs (SP2) for both its Office 2003 and Visio 2003 products. Included in these service packs are several security bulletins. Microsoft also released an update to its Outlook 2003 Junk Email filter on the same date.
Recommended Actions: Windows system managers and support personnel who use these products are encouraged to read the Service Pack/bulletin information (including all potential caveats) and (if appropriate) test/apply the patch(es) as per the instructions provided by the vendor.
ITS Actions: ITS Systems Management and Operations Staff will any necessary patches to the appropriate ITS servers as part of the next scheduled system update.
