Description of Spider:
This tool was developed by the folks at Cornell University to search hard drives for files containing strings that look like social security numbers or credit card account numbers. It comes in Windows and Unix flavors.  For Windows, you will need the .Net 1.1 software.
 
Basic Instructions for use:
Download, install, and run the application. The Windows version is packed in an self-extracting executable.
