NetID  Each member of the University community is assigned a single, unique NetID, sometimes referred to as a userid.  The NetID is used to log into many services including: WebMail, Blackboard, MyUAlbany, and the UNIX cluster for programming, and web page development.  Additionally for employees, the NetID is used to log into the Windows Network for Exchange Outlook Mail and Calendaring, the IAS system. The NetID is system generated.  You obtain your NetID by setting a password on one or more accounts. After you set your password(s) your Net ID will be displayed.
